텍스트로 이뤄진 소설은 독자들에게 저마다의 다른 상상을 끌어낼 수 있어 영화, 드라마, 웹툰, 애니메이션 등 여러 매체로 변모해왔고, 이에 대한 예시는 하나하나 언급할 수 없을 만큼 많아졌다. 이번에 선보이는 괴괴서점은 이런 흐름 안에서 미스터리, 스릴러, 호러 소설을 방 탈출 게임이라는 또 다른 콘텐츠로 탈바꿈시키는 시도이자, 코로나로 집에서 보내는 시간이 길어진 요즘 실내에서 마음 편히 즐길 수 있는 오락거리가 될 것으로 기대된다.
무섭고 흥미로운 이야기를 사고파는 괴괴서점은 소설 속 내용을 직접 겪어볼 수 있다며 독자들을 초대한다. 게임에 입장한 플레이어는 이야기의 주인공이 돼 미션을 해결하고, 코앞에 당면한 고난을 헤쳐나가야 한다. 문제를 풀어서 아이템이 있는 상자의 비밀번호를 찾거나, 탈출구를 열 수 있는 특정 단어를 추론하는 식이다. 단순 문제풀이에 집중하는 게임이 아니라, 소설 내용에 몰입하고 흥미를 불러일으키도록 연출된 게이미피케이션 콘텐츠이기 때문에 게임 전후로 책을 읽으면 즐거움이 배가된다.

문을 열 첫 번째 책은 스릴러 소설 ‘기억 서점’이다. 지난해 출간된 기억 서점은 정명섭 작가의 장편소설로 부, 명예, 권력 등을 내던진 남자가 살인자를 기다리기 위한 서점을 여는 내용이다. 플레이어는 연쇄 살인범에게 가족을 잃은 대학교수 유명우가 돼 서점을 찾아오는 손님들을 조사하고, 이 가운데 있을 범인을 프로파일링해 찾아내야 한다. 기억 서점은 우연히 마주할 법한 이웃의 악마적 민낯을 밝혀 장르적 재미를 살리고, 흥미로운 스토리 라인으로 일본, 중국, 대만, 태국, 인도네시아 등에 수출되는 등 호조를 보이고 있다.

According to the definitive end result, taking into account the Vifor Pharma shares held by the offeror and the persons acting in concert with the offeror at the end of the additional acceptance period and the Vifor Pharma shares tendered during the main offer period and the additional acceptance period, CSL's participation at the end of the additional acceptance period on 22 March 2022 amounts to a total of 93.9 percent of all listed Vifor Pharma shares as of 22 March 2022, subject to the completion of the offer. The tender offer remains subject to certain conditions set forth in the offer prospectus, including regulatory approvals, as further described in the definitive notice of the end result. CSL re-affirmed its intention to have Vifor Pharma submit an application to SIX Exchange Regulation for the de-listing of its shares in accordance with the listing rules of SIX Exchange Regulation and for an exemption from certain disclosure and publicity obligations under said rules until the date of de-listing of Vifor Pharma’s shares, and to effect a squeeze-out of remaining public holders of Vifor Pharma shares in accordance with statutory requirements, as further described in the definitive notice of the end result.

ZKW가 폴스타의 기후 중립적 전자·전기 제품 개발 프로젝트인 ‘Polestar 0’에 파트너로 참여한다
오스트리아 차량용 프리미엄 헤드램프 기업 ZKW가 폴스타(Polestar)의 기후 중립적 전자·전기 제품 개발 프로젝트인 ‘Polestar 0’에 파트너로 참여한다고 밝혔다.
‘Polestar 0’ 프로젝트는 이산화탄소 배출을 상쇄할 뿐만 아니라, 공급망 내에서 배출을 완벽히 차단하고, 자동차 제조 프로세스를 지속 가능한 방식으로 바꾸는 것을 목표로 한다. 폴스타는 모빌리티 부문이 온실가스의 급격한 증가에 크게 기여하고 있기 때문에 이 같은 목표를 추구하기로 결정했다고 밝혔다. UN 환경 프로그램은 앞으로 모빌리티가 총 이산화탄소 배출량의 30% 이상을 차지할 것으로 예상하고 있다. Polestar 0 프로젝트의 주요 목표는 2030년까지 완전히 기후 중립적인 차량을 개발 및 출시하는 것이다.
오스트리아 비젤부르크에 본사가 위치한 조명 시스템 전문 기업인 ZKW는 이 같은 야심 찬 프로젝트의 성공적 진행을 위해 폴스타의 전자 및 전기 부품 개발에 파트너로서 참여한다. ZKW는 또한 2025년까지 전 세계적 탄소 중립 생산을 목표로 전환 작업을 진행하고 있다. 이 목표는 에너지 절약, 폐기물 방지 및 친환경 전기로의 전환을 통해 달성될 예정이다.

◇새로운 자재 및 프로세스
오늘날의 헤드램프는 다양한 플라스틱·전자 구성품을 포함한 매우 다양한 구성품으로 구성돼 있다. 지속 가능한 생산을 위해, 바이오 기반 또는 재활용 자재를 사용하는 등의 방법을 통해 플라스틱 비율의 상당한 절감이 요구된다. ZKW에 따르면, 전자 장치는 기후 중립 헤드라이트의 핵심으로 주목받는다. 이와 관련해 신소재 및 프로세스 기술 최적화 등으로 인쇄회로기판의 유해한 배출을 피할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 전자 구성품 및 조립의 이산화탄소 중립을 달성할 수 있다(예: 에너지 최적화 장비 및 친환경 전력 사용).
◇대체 제조 콘셉트
전자·전기 구성품을 탄소 중립적인 방식으로 제조하려면 단순한 새로운 자재 및 프로세스 그 이상이 필요하다. 제조 프로세스에서 소위 ‘탄소 포집’이라 불리는 기술, 폐기물 방지 및 재활용도 이산화탄소 중립 생산을 가능하게 한다. 수리한 헤드라이트의 재사용도 할 수 있다.
CEO 올리버 슈베르트는 “배출을 피할 수 없는 경우 대안도 찾아야 한다. 예를 들어, 커넥터 하우징을 유기성 원자재를 사용해 제조하거나, 직접 플러그 연결 또는 인쇄 에지 커넥터 등 다른 연결 방식을 적용해 이를 상쇄할 수 있다”고 덧붙였다.
◇산업 연구 프로젝트
오스트리아 연구 진흥 기관 FFG (Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG)가 자금을 지원하는 ‘SusMat4CarLight 프로젝트’를 통해 비젤부르크에 위치한 ZKW는 미래의 자동차 헤드라이트를 위한 지속 가능하며 재활용 가능한 자재 복합물에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 이는 공급망 전체를 포함하며, 이산화탄소 인증을 통한 보상은 이뤄지지 않는다. 다양한 주제를 바탕으로, 이번 프로젝트는 새로운 고성능 자재, 가치 사슬의 다양한 기술 통합, 혁신적인 프로세스, 응용 프로그램에 최적화된 자재 처리를 집중적으로 다룬다.
CEO 올리버 슈베르트는 “연구 프로젝트 파트너로 요아네움 연구 재단(Joanneum Research Forschungsgesellschaft), 표면 기술 및 광자학 자재 연구소(Materials Institute for Surface Technologies and Photonics), 레오벤 대학(Leoben University)이 함께한다”며 “우리는 2025년까지 CO2 중립 생산이라는 목표를 달성하기 위해 순환 경제의 모든 잠재력을 조사하고 있다”고 말했다.
◇지속 가능성 개념
ZKW는 생산, 제품 및 사람을 포함하는 지속 가능성의 개념과 관련해 에너지 효율성과 친환경 전기와 같은 재생 에너지 구매 및 생산 시 발생하는 폐기물 방지에 초점을 맞춘다. 크루소비체(Krušovce)에 위치한 슬로바키아 지사의 공장과 같은 지속 가능성에 대한 투자는 이런 노력 중 하나다.
또한 ZKW는 ‘글로벌 지속 가능성 아이디어 도전과제(Global sustainability idea challenge)’를 통해, 환경 보호 및 지속 가능성에 대한 직원의 참여를 강조한다. 그다음 단계는 2038년까지 모든 ZKW 제품을 탄소 중립이 되도록 하는 것이다. 이 계획은 모든 지사에서 이산화탄소 배출이 발생하지 않도록 하는 것뿐만 아니라 업스트림 공급망도 여기에 포함된다.
◇배출량 감소
오스트리아 비젤부르크와 비너 노이슈타트에서 ZKW는 이산화탄소 발생을 방지하기 위해 연료 소비를 최적화해 열 회수, 효율적인 냉각 또는 난방, 폐기물 방지 등을 적용하고 있다. 전력 사용에 있어서도 최대한의 절약을 이루고 있다. 비젤부르크 지사에서는 2022년 초부터 친환경 전력으로 자체 수력 발전소에서 필요한 에너지 일부를 수급하고 있으며, 나머지는 공공 전력망에서 수급하고 있다. 비너 노이슈타트, 하그 및 디타흐의 ZKW 지사들 역시 탄소 중립으로 전환될 예정이다. 해외 지사의 경우 당분간은 친환경 전기 인증을 받을 예정이다.
